Environmental Policy

Elsi Design Ltd — June 2025

1. Purpose

Elsi Design Ltd recognises that its activities have an impact on the environment. This policy sets out our commitment to managing those impacts responsibly and to continuous improvement in our environmental performance.

2. Legal compliance

We comply with all applicable environmental legislation and regulations, including those relating to waste management, water discharge, planning conditions and hazardous materials. We monitor legislative changes and update our procedures accordingly.

3. Waste management

We apply a waste hierarchy — reduce, reuse, recycle — across all factory and site operations. Timber waste is segregated for biomass recovery. We hold a registered waste carrier licence and use only licensed contractors for waste disposal. Our target is zero waste to landfill from factory operations by 2027.

4. Energy and carbon

We measure our direct energy consumption and Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions annually. We source renewable electricity for our factory premises and are committed to reducing our operational carbon intensity year-on-year. We have set a target to achieve net-zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2035.

5. Supply chain

We engage with our supply chain to understand and reduce embedded carbon in materials. We prioritise suppliers who can demonstrate credible environmental management systems and certified responsible sourcing of raw materials.

6. Review

This policy is reviewed annually by the Board of Directors. Our environmental performance data is available to clients, partners and regulators on request.
